Washington could play Kirk Cousins less than a half
Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins could play only a half or less in Sunday's meaningless Week 17 game versus the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN's Adam Schefter stated Sunday morning.
"Don't think we're gonna see him more than a half today," were Schefter's words. Cousins will be spelled at some point in the game by Colt McCoy. It's just a matter of when. It's also worth noting that Cousins needs just 120 yards to set the Redskins' single-season franchise record for passing yards, so he might be pulled when he reaches that mark.
This potential to be yanked is large reason why our algorithms project Cousins to put up just 12-for-18 for 129.06 passing yards, 0.87 touchdowns, and 0.43 interceptions in Week 17, as our 31st-best option at quarterback. He's not worth a fantasy start in a meaningless game.
