Eagles re-sign running back Darren Sproles on Friday
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed running back Darren Sproles to a one-year contract on Friday.
What It Means:
Sproles will join a crowded Eagles' backfield that already includes Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders, and Corey Clement. Expect the veteran to play on some passing downs and possibly return punts or kicks.
In six games last season, Sproles produced 280 scrimmage yards and 3 touchdowns on 44 combined touches.
