Ezekiel Elliott reportedly will not play for Cowboys without new contract
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will not play in 2019 without a new contract, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.
Anderson's source added that the situation is expected to be resolved prior to Week 1 due to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' desire to get a deal done. According to NFL Network's Jane Slater, Dallas has a "generous" offer on the table. It's encouraging to hear, but nothing is guaranteed with Elliott's status at this point.
Assuming Zeke plays a full season, he remains the RB2 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models expect him to rush 326.5 times for 1,518.8 yards and 11.85 touchdowns, with 77.9 receptions for 548.4 yards and 2.79 touchdowns in 2019.
