Texans' Lamar Miller reportedly may have torn ACL
The Houston Texans fear running back Lamar Miller tore his ACL during Saturday's preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Miller was carted off the field after taking a devastating hit to the knee as he was planting. Duke Johnson will likely take over as the Texans' lead back. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle expects Johnson to "get all the playing time he can handle."
Miller has averaged 269.3 touches during his three seasons in Houston, so his absence opens up plenty of work for Johnson and the rest of the backfield.
