Duke Johnson to see 'all playing time he can handle' for Texans

Houston Texans running back Duke Johnson will "get all the playing time he can handle," believes John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

What It Means:

Lamar Miller reportedly tore his ACL on Saturday night, potentially putting Johnson in a feature role for the first time in his career. Even if the Texans add another body to the backfield, Johnson should see a significant uptick from the 102 touches he recorded with the Cleveland Browns last season.

Miller has averaged 269.3 touches during his three seasons in Houston, so his absence opens up plenty of work for Johnson and the rest of the backfield. Johnson has averaged 4.3 yards per carry and 9.1 yards per catch through four seasons in the league.
