Redskins' Adrian Peterson to reportedly be healthy scratch in Week 1
Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson will reportedly be a healthy scratch on Sunday in the team's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Peterson was the starter last year after first-round pick Derrius Guice went down with an injury, but it seems he's the odd man out this year, at least in terms of Week 1. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reported that players on the Redskins are upset with the decision, and it looks like Guice and Chris Thompson will receive the bulk of the workload.
In 16 games last season, Peterson had 1,042 rushing yards, 20 catches for 208 yards, and eight total touchdowns.
