Ronald Jones leads Buccaneers' backfield in loss
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones rushed 13 times for 75 yards and caught 1 pass (1 target) for 18 yards in a 31-17 Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Jones out-carried Peyton Barber 13-8 and clearly looked like the best back on the Bucs' roster. He finished with more yards from scrimmage on Sunday (93) than in his entire rookie season (77). Dare Ogunbowale saw 5 targets and figures to remain involved in the passing game, but Jones likely earned an increased role in Week 2. The Bucs play the Panthers in Carolina on Thursday night.
Jones scored 9.8 FanDuel points in Week 1.
