Tevin Coleman week-to-week for 49ers with high-ankle sprain

San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.

What It Means:

Coleman suffered the injury in Sunday's season-opening win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's likely a multi-week issue, but he's not expected to land on injured reserve. Matt Breida will likely work as the 49ers' lead back while Coleman is out, with Raheem Mostert also pitching in. Jeff Wilson could also see some work.

Coleman rushed 6 times for 23 yards and caught 2 passes (3 targets) for 33 yards in Week 1, finishing with 6.6 FanDuel points.
