Derrius Guice out a 'few weeks' for Washington with meniscus injury
Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice is dealing with a meniscus injury, reports ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Guice is undergoing additional tests to gauge a more official timeline, but he hopes it'll only cost him "a few weeks," per Fowler. Adrian Peterson will take over as Washington's lead back in Week 2 versus the Dallas Cowboys, with Chris Thompson in on passing downs.
Guice was limited to 18 yards on 10 carries in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He also caught 3 passes (3 targets) for 20 yards.Guice finished with 5.3 FanDuel points in Week 1.
