Derek Carr effective as Raiders beat Broncos
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr completed 22-of-26 passes for 259 yards and a touchdown in a 24-16, Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos.
Carr did most of his work in the first half, passing for 178 yards with an opening-drive touchdown to Tyrell Williams. The offensive line didn't allow a single sack all night and Carr took advantage. It was an impressive and unexpected showing after losing top receiver Antonio Brown just days before the Raiders' opener. Carr draws a plus matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2, but his value remains limited to deeper formats and 2-QB leagues.
Carr scored 14.6 FanDuel points in Week 1. numberFire's models expect him to score 15.9 FP versus the Chiefs, at a cost of $6,600. He's the QB26 in our Week 2 fantasy rankings.
