Carlos Hyde impresses with 85 yards in Texans debut

Houston Texans running back Carlos Hyde rushed 10 times for 83 yards and caught a pass for 2 yards in a 30-28, Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday.

What It Means:

Hyde started over Duke Johnson and led the Texans in carries while showing off impressive burst throughout the contest. He was out-touched by Johnson 13-11, but Hyde appears to be the preferred early-down option out of the backfield. Houston hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2.

Hyde scored 9.0 FanDuel points in Week 1. numberFire's models expect him to score 7.3 FP versus the Jags, at a cost of $5,400. He's the RB39 in our Week 2 fantasy rankings.
