Jets reportedly acquiring Demaryius Thomas from Patriots for 6th-rounder
The New York Jets are acquiring wide receiver Demaryius Thomas from the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2021 sixth-round pick, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Thomas' departure will clear the way for the arrival of Antonio Brown. He played under Jets head coach Adam Gase for the Denver Broncos in the prime of his career, but the 31-year-old veteran is unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact. Thomas figures to work as the fourth option behind Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder, and Quincy Enunwa.
Thomas caught 59 passes (89 targets) for 677 yards (11.5 yards per catch) and 5 touchdowns in 15 games for the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos last season.
