Joe Mixon (ankle) officially active for Bengals versus 49ers
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (ankle) is active for Week 2 against the San Francisco 49ers.
This was the expectation after Mixon got in a limited practice on Friday. Giovani Bernard may see an uptick in usage, but he won't be in the workhorse role some anticipated earlier in the week. The 49ers allowed 4.7 yards per carry versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the opener, so it's an advantageous spot for the Bengals' backfield.
numberFire's models expect Mixon to see a limited workload, with 7.5 carries, 32.3 yards, 1.7 receptions, and 13.6 yards, and 0.30 touchdowns.
