Panthers' Cam Newton (foot) does not practice on Wednesday
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton missed practice Wednesday with a foot injury.
Newton continues to struggle with a left foot injury he suffered in the preseason and then re-aggravated in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If Newton is unable to go in Week 3 the Panthers will turn to Kyle Allen at quarterback against a Cardinals defense that has allowed 619 passing yards and 5 touchdowns through two games.
Assuming a limited performance in Week 3 and a full return to action in Week 4, our models project Newton for 3,550.1 yards and 22.4 touchdowns on 325 completions over the rest of the season.
