Jaguars re-sign wideout Laquon Treadwell
The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.
Amidst all of the chaos that was the Jaguars' 2021 NFL season, one of the more surprising happenings was the quiet emergence of Treadwell as one of the team's top receivers in the second half of the season. While the Jaguars also signed free agents Christian Kirk and Zay Jones to fairly lucrative contracts, they will also be bringing Treadwell back to compete for the 2022 season.
Treadwell caught 33 of 51 targets in 2021 for 434 yards and 1 touchdown last season, leading the team's wideouts in passer rating when targeted (89.8) in the process. The former first round pick may not have fired in Minnesota, but could invigorate his career in Jacksonville.
