TCU's Trevone Boykin ends up with Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks signed TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin.
Boykin was a dynamic dual-threat college quarterback, but he is short, struggles with touch as a passer and was arrested for felony assault of an officer last December. Although Boykin was open to performing wide receiver drills before the draft, he lacks speed (4.77) and explosion (9'2" broad jump) for a full-time position switch. Boykin would do well to forge a Seneca Wallace-type career.
Boykin (6'0", 212 lb.) made 40 starts for the Horned Frogs, finishing his career as TCU's all-time leader in passing yards (10,728) and passing touchdowns (86) with a 61.2 completion percentage. He added 27 rushing scores and averaged 4.04 yards per carry.
