Commanders pull Sam Howell from Week 16 game; Jacoby Brissett to close out game
The Washington Commanders have pulled quarterback Sam Howell from their Week 16 game against the New York Jets.
After a brutal first half and a tough start to the third quarter, the Commanders made the decision to pull Howell from the game and replace him with Jacoby Brissett. The Commanders' offensive line was dangerously mismatched with the Jets' defensive front.
Howell will close out the day with just 6 completions for 56 yards and 2 interceptions on 22 passing attempts.
