Zach Zenner has made progress in Lions' OTAs
The Detroit Lions have seen "consistent progress and improvement" from running back Zach Zenner, head coach Jim Caldwell said.
With both Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick sidelined late last season, Zenner stepped up with 136 yards on 32 attempts over the final two weeks of the regular season. Coming off those performances, Zenner would seem to have a leg up on Dwayne Washington for the third running back job, but both will struggle for fantasy relevance while Abdullah and Riddick are healthy.
Our models project Zenner for 141 rushing yards and 1.16 touchdowns on 37 carries, with 16 receptions for 128 receiving yards and 0.66 touchdowns.
