Vikings claim Michael Floyd will remain on roster
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Michael Floyd will remain on the club's roster and report for training camp, according to general manager Rick Spielman, who claims the organization "believes" in the recently-signed free agent.
Floyd was sentenced to one day in jail in Arizona on Monday, the result of him foolishly consuming alcohol just days before his house arrest sentence was set to expire earlier this month. He'll almost certainly be suspended by Roger Goodell for the start of the season. Despite Spielman's vote of confidence, the 27-year-old Floyd isn't guaranteed a spot on the Vikings' final 53-man roster.
numberFire's models currently rank Floyd outside of the top-100 fantasy receivers for this upcoming season. We project him to catch 16.72 passes for 223 receiving yards and 1.32 touchdowns for Minnesota in 2017.
