Bengals' John Ross benched after fumbling in NFL debut
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross was benched following a first quarter fumble in Thursday's loss to the Houston Texans.
Ross received the ball on an end-around and exploded for 12 yards before Texans corner Kareem Jackson dislodged the ball with his helmet. Jadeveon Clowney took the fumble deep into Bengals territory and Ross wasn't on the field the rest of the night. Alex Erickson got the run in the slot and might have overtaken Ross for reps going forward. Although Ross' speed and talent are undeniable.
Our models project Ross for 62.0 targets, 36.2 receptions, 454.6 yards and 1.92 touchdowns over the remainder of the season.
