Lawrence Timmons' leaves Dolphins, questionable for Week 2
Miami Dolphins strong-side linebacker Lawrence Timmons has left the team ahead of Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports.
According to La Canfora, Timmons' "whereabouts are known," but the team is "weighing the situation" ahead of this afternoon's kickoff. The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports Timmons won't play after "something angered him." Miami is already forced to start second-year undrafted Mike Hull at middle linebacker with Rey Maualuga out of shape and not ready.
With the Miami linebacker corps a shambles, Chargers' running back Melvin Gordon is in prime position to take advantage of it. We project him for 15.53 FanDuel points, the fifth-best running back projection, at a salary of $7,600 in Week 2.
