Jets' Matt Forte avoids structural damage in toe
New York Jets running back Matt Forte's X-rays for his toe injury came back negative.
Fantasy owners should consider Forte day-to-day for now. He rushed 8 times for 25 yards against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday before leaving with a toe injury in the second half. His upside remains limited as the Jets continue to split backfield work between Forte, Bilal Powell, and sixth-round rookie Elijah McGuire.
Per numberFire Live, Forte finished with -0.76 Rushing Net Expected Points in Week 3, meaning a league average running back would have scored 0.76 more points than Forte did if put in similar situations. His 2.5 FanDuel points did not live up to our expectations for the week (8.8).
