Martavis Bryant vents about role in Steelers' offense on Instagram
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant expressed frustration about his role and seemed to confirm reports of a trade request on Instagram.
What It Means:
Bryant replied to an Instagram comment on Sunday night that JuJu Smith-Schuster is a better player, saying, "JuJu is no where near better than me, fool." He deleted that reply later in the evening, but it does seem to confirm that Bryant is frustrated with his role in the offense. Bryant has been targeted just 5 times in the last two games.
Bryant has hauled in 18-of-36 targets this year for 234 yards and 1 touchdown. His 0.49 Net Expected Points per Target ranks him 42nd among receivers with at least 30 targets.
