Buccaneers' Gerald McCoy fears he suffered third torn biceps in Week 14 loss

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy fears he suffered a torn biceps in Sunday's 24-21 Week 14 loss to the Detroit Lions.

What It Means:

This would be the third such injury of McCoy's career, as he tore his left biceps as a rookie in 2010 and the right one in 2011. “It actually happened on the first play of the game,’’ McCoy said afterward. “(I) just kept playing through the pain but the it got to a point where I just couldn’t tolerate the pain anymore." If McCoy is right, the Buccaneers will be without him for the final three weeks of the season.

If McCoy doesn't return this season, his 2017 campaign will end with 40 tackles (33 solo), 5 sacks, and 1 pass deflection. The Buccaneers D/ST scored 6.0 FanDuel points in Week 14.
