Panthers' Devin Funchess says missed practices are precautionary
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess told the Charlotte Observer's Jourdan Rodrigue that his recent absences from practice have been precautionary.
Down the stretch run, Funchess was held out of multiple practices and missed the last two days with the Panthers citing a shoulder injury. The severity of the injury is unknown, but it hasn't been bad enough to keep him out of the lineup on Sundays. We shouldn't expect anything different in the playoffs.
Projected for 8.0 targets, Funchess is in line for 4.2 catches, 61.2 yards and 0.37 touchdowns, per our projections. He costs $7,000 and his projected 10.4 FanDuel points rate him fourth among all wideouts on this week's Wild Card slate.
