Raiders expected to introduce Jon Gruden as head coach on Tuesday
According to Raiders Snake Pit's Steve Corkran, the Oakland Raiders plan to introduce Jon Gruden as the team's next head coach on Tuesday.
As confirmed by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team will hold a "splashy" news conference on Tuesday to make the announcement. Gruden will be leaving his post at ESPN and Monday Night Football. The team will be giving him a 10-year deal -- the longest in NFL history -- worth about $100 million.
The Raiders significantly underachieved at 6-10 this season. Gruden last served as an NFL head coach in 2008 when he led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 9-7 record for a second straight season.
