Patriots won't activate Malcolm Mitchell (knee) from I.R.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the New England Patriots are not activating wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell from Injured Reserve.
Mitchell's dealt with knee issues all year. Today was the deadline for New England to activate him, but the 24-year-old will remain on the sideline for the remainder of the Patriots' postseason run. Phillip Dorsett will remain the Patriots' fourth wideout. Mitchell has two years remaining on his rookie deal.
Mitchell didn't play in a single game in 2017. In his only NFL season, he caught 32 balls for 401 yards and 4 touchdowns a year ago.
