Jimmy Garoppolo extension remains high priority for 49ers
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch confirmed he wants to extend free agent quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
"We believe we found the right guy," Lynch said. “Now the challenge is getting Jimmy signed. We’re working hard toward that. We’ll see. I think he wants to be with us, and we want him there. It makes too much sense for it not to happen. It’s just a matter of getting it done.†After taking over under center for the 49ers, Garoppolo went 5-0 and set himself up nicely for a new multi-year deal.
Garoppolo averaged 15.4 FanDuel points in six games (five starts) for the 49ers this season, throwing for 1,560 yards with 7 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
