Chiefs' Alex Smith would like to stay in Kansas City for 2018
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith wants to remain with the team for the 2018 season.
Smith's name has made the rounds as the Chiefs have 2017 first-round pick Patrick Mahomes waiting in the wings. The team is still fully expected to move Smith, but the veteran quarterback said he'd like to stay put if possible "I love where I'm at," Smith said. "But who knows. I've been playing long enough. I've been through this before." Asked about moving to the Browns, Smith said he has not thought about it but added that they have "nowhere to go but up."
Smith averaged 19.8 FanDuel points per game in 2017.
