Broncos' Von Miller: 'We need Kirk Cousins'
According to The Denver Post's Nicki Jhabvala, Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller said, "We need Kirk [Cousins]" when asked about the free agent quarterback on Wednesday.
What It Means:
Speaking on the Dan Patrick Show, Miller added, "We have great quarterbacks now. Kirk could take us over the edge." He went on to say, "Whatever team he ends up on would be a different team." Cousins, a free agent, comes from the Washington Redskins, who just traded for and signed Alex Smith. The Broncos are one of a number of teams interesting in paying for the services of the 29-year-old signal caller.
Cousins' 32.37 Pass NEP ranked just 20th among all quarterbacks this past season. His mark of 147.58 ranked 5th in 2016.
