Patriots' Tom Brady named NFL's Most Valuable Player for the third time

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been named the Associated Press' Most Valuable Player.

What It Means:

This is Brady's third NFL MVP award, having also received the honors in 2007 and 2010. He joins Jim Brown, Johnny Unitas, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning as the only players with at least three wins.

Brady completed 66.3% of his passes, notching a league-leading 4577 yards to go with 32 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions. His 0.28 Passing Net Expected Points per dropback was tops among quarterbacks who dropped back at least 200 times this season.
