Lions not expected to release Eric Ebron
The Detroit Lions are not expected to release tight end Eric Ebron.
Ebron carries a club option for the 2018 season and it's guaranteed for injury only. Shedding his salary would give the Lions some flexibility but general manager Bob Quinn has said that Ebron will return. At 24, Ebron's been mildly disappointing through four seasons. But he has shown the ability to produce for stretches of time.
After posting 53 catches, 574 yards and 4 scores in 2017, Ebron has now made it back-to-back seasons with at least 50 catches, 500 yards and a touchdown.
