Patriots' Rob Gronkowski expected to play in 2018
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski contemplated retirement, but the expectation is that he will play in 2018, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Nothing official has been announced by Gronkowski, but according to Rapoport's sources, he will be back with the Patriots in 2018. All the reports we've heard this offseason indicate that Gronkowski gave retirement some very serious thought, but it sounds like he will at least return for this coming season. Potential post-football careers in the WWE and/or Hollywood should still be on the table whenever he decides to step away.
Gronkowski caught 8 touchdowns for 1084 yards across 14 games this season.
