Richard Sherman (Achilles) will reportedly be cut by Seahawks before weekend
Seattle Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman (Achilles) will be released within the next two days, reports Mike Silver of NFL Network.
The Seahawks "would be open to re-signing him at a lower rate," according to Silver. This comes after an earlier report from Silver's colleague, Ian Rapoport, who said Sherman had informed teammates he wouldn't be back in Seattle next season. The veteran corner turns 30 at the end of the month and has had two Achilles' surgeries since November.
Sherman recorded 35 tackles (25 solo) with 7 pass deflections and 2 interceptions in nine games last season.
