Panthers acquire Torrey Smith, send cornerback Daryl Worley to Eagles

The Carolina Panthers acquired wide receiver Torrey Smith from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for defensive back Daryl Worley.

What It Means:

Smith was a bit more involved the postseason, but with Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Algholor locked in as the Eagles' top two receivers and Zach Ertz playing a large role in the offense, the veteran wideout was likely going to be released anyway. In Carolina, Smith will provide the Panthers with the deep threat they've been missing since Ted Ginn left last offseason.

Smith averaged 5.3 FanDuel points per game last season, with 36 catches (68 targets) for 430 yards and 2 touchdowns.
