Raiders could release Michael Crabtree
The Oakland Raiders are expected to release wide receiver Michael Crabtree if they are able to sign free agent Jordy Nelson.
There have been conflicting reports about Crabtree's place with the team, but Nelson's visit with the Raiders does more to confirm his spot on the chopping block. Nelson would likely step into Crabtree's role, though Crabtree has two years on the 32-year-old.
Over 14 starts a year ago, Crabtree produced 58 catches, 618 yards and 8 touchdowns. He's put together three straight seasons of at least 8 scores.
