Panthers re-sign Julius Peppers to one-year deal
Carolina Panthers and defensive end Julius Peppers have agreed to a one-year deal worth $5 million.
Peppers is returning for one more year at the age of 38. He is recovering from shoulder surgery but, barring a setback, he's expected to be ready for Week 1. He'll likely take a really slow this offseason as he gears up to disrupt opposing passing attacks for a 17th season.
Last year, Peppers played in all 16 games for Carolina. He contributed 21 tackles, 11 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.
