Cleveland Browns select QB Baker Mayfield with the top pick in the NFL Draft
The Cleveland Browns have selected Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield with the number one overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Armed with multiple picks in the top four selections, the Browns didn't leave things to chance and took the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner with the first overall pick. Mayfield joins the Browns assumingly as the backup quarterback for the 2018 season as Cleveland previously traded for Tyrod Taylor, who will likely be their starter for one year.
Mayfield threw for 4,627 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions while completing 70.5% of his 404 pass attempts in his senior season.
