Seattle Seahawks select RB Rashaad Penny with the 27th pick
The Seattle Seahawks have selected San Diego State running back Rashaad Penny with the 27th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Penny jumps into a depleted Seahawks running back crew as the likely the top option with Chris Carson and Mike Davis backing him up. Running back was an immediate need as they finished 23rd in the NFL with 1,629 rushing yards and quarterback Russell Wilson leading the way with 589 yards.
Penny exploded in his senior season rushing 289 times for 2,289 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2017. He added 19 catches, 135 yards, and 2 touchdowns through the air.
