Falcons sign Matt Ryan to five-year extension
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Atlanta Falcons have signed quarterback Matt Ryan to a five-year extension worth $100 million in guaranteed money.
The deal will be the first to pay a player $30 million per year. That would put the total around $150 for the life of the extension, while keeping Ryan in Atlanta through 2023, his age-37 season.
In 2017, Ryan totaled 4,095 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing 64.7% of his pass attempts.
