Dolphins acquire Akeem Spence in trade with Lions
Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Miami Dolphins have acquired defensive tackle Akeem Spence from the Detroit Lions.
In exchange for Spence, the Lions will receive an undisclosed 2019 draft pick. The 26-year-old lineman is a former fourth-round pick and played his first four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In 2017, Spence tallied 19 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble over 11 starts and 16 games.
