Cardinals' David Johnson says goal remains 1,000/1,000 season
According to NFL Network's Will Selva, Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson said, "My goal is still 1,000 rushing, 1,000 receiving [yards]."
In an appearance on Good Morning Football, Johnson said that it feels great to be back working with the team and that his surgically repaired wrist "feels great." He had the same goal a year ago, but his season was cut very short due to injury. Back to full health, totaling 1,000 yards through the air and on the ground is not out of the question.
In the 2016-17 season, Johnson rushed for 1,239 yards and turned 80 catches into another 879 yards receiving. Only two other backs -- Marshall Faulk and Roger Craig -- have ever put together a 1,000/1,000 season.
