Julius Thomas a possible target for Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are a possible landing spot for free agent tight end Julius Thomas, ESPN's Eric Williams believes.
Thomas hasn't drawn any interest on the market since the Miami Dolphins released him. He looked washed in 12 starts last year, but the Chargers need a tight end after losing Hunter Henry to ACL surgery. Los Angeles is also looking at familiar faces Antonio Gates, Sean McGrath, Jeff Cumberland, and John Phillips to fill their need.
Among the 26 tight ends to see at least 50 targets in 2017, Thomas's 0.48 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target were the fourth-lowest rate.
