Dolphins taking it easy with DeVante Parker heading into the 2018 season
The Miami Dolphins have scaled back on their high-praise of wide receiver DeVante Parker from last season and are applying a "one day at a time mentality," according to wide receivers coach Ben Johnson.
Last season, the Dolphins coaching staff placed high expectations on Parker making giant claims with their expectations for the receiver. After a disappointing 2017 season, though, the team is now scaling back the hype and hope Parker "keeps stacking good days on top of each other." Parker is expected to be the top wideout for a stacked receiving corp, including Danny Amendola, Kenny Stills, and Albert Wilson.
Our models project Parker for 120.5 targets, 70.9 catches, 816.8 yards, and 5.1 touchdowns in 2018.
