Report: Patriots were shopping Rob Gronkowski prior to NFL Draft
The New England Patriots were calling teams about a possible trade of tight end Rob Gronkowski before the draft, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
All this happened before Gronkowski confirmed he was not retiring, so take this with a grain of salt. It's now looking like Gronk could sign a restructured deal, as he is attending minicamp and is not a holdout. Gronk should get a new deal before the start of the regular season.
Gronk is our top-ranked tight end for 2018-19 and is number 53 in our overall rankings. We project him to finish with 71.5 receptions, 1,010.2 receiving yards, and 12.5 touchdowns.
