Adonis Alexander goes to Redskins in sixth round of Supplemental draft
The Washington Redskins selected Virginia Tech cornerback Adonis Alexander in the sixth round of Wednesday's supplemental draft.
Alexander joined Sam Beal as the only two players selected in Wednesday's supplemental draft, making this the first year since 2010 that multiple players were taken. His red flags include being ruled academically ineligible and a 2016 marijuana arrest, but his 6'3", 207 pound frame make him an intriguing prospect. His selection will cost the Redskins a sixth round pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
As a junior in 2017, Alexander made 27 tackles, with 1 sack and 1 interception in 8 games.
