Cowboys' DeMarcus Lawrence will play under franchise tag
Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence will play under the franchise tag this season.
What It Means:
Lawrence has no qualms with playing and earning a long-term deal this season but he will not play under the tag again in 2019, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 26-year-old lineman will make $17.1 million guaranteed this season as the Cowboys' franchise player.
Lawrence recorded 15 sacks and 4 forced fumbles in 16 games last season.
