Colts' sixth-rounder Deon Cain could push for 'serious snaps'

Indianapolis Colts sixth-round rookie wide receiver Deon Cain could push for "serious snaps," writes Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star.

What It Means:

"Every time you looked up during Thursday’s workout, No. 8 was doing something," Keefer said of Cain, also noting that the receiver is turning heads "early and often" and has been "flat-out hard to ignore." There's virtually no proven talent behind T.Y. Hilton among the Colts pass-catchers, so Cain could wind up with a significant role in the offense if his strong play carries over into the preseason and beyond.

numberFire's models currently project Cain to catch 15.4 passes (27.8 targets) for 189.0 yards and 1.14 touchdowns in 2018.
