Amari Cooper up to 225 pounds for Raiders this offseason

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper bulked up to 225 pounds this offseason, head coach Jon Gruden says.

What It Means:

Cooper weighed in at only 211 pounds at the 2015 NFL Combine, so this is a significant increase. "We're going to move him all over the place," Gruden said. "He is smart, he's elusive, he can run after the catch. We've got to get more ways to get him the football." As long as the weight gain doesn't lead to reduced speed or quickness, Cooper should be able to bounce back from what was the worst season of his young career.
