Chris Carson looks like frontrunner for Seahawks' starter job

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson is "the favorite" to enter the season as the starting running back, ESPN reporter Brady Henderson believes.

What It Means:

Carson has been handily outplaying the rest of the running backs in Seahawks camp, appears "all the way back" from last season's injury, and has added 10 pounds of muscle to his frame. Seattle used a first-round draft pick on Rashaad Penny, who is obviously going to have a role, but Carson appears to be the favorite for touches right now.

Our models project Carson for 239 rushing yards and 2.1 touchdowns on 66 carries, with 30 catches for 275 yards and 1.6 touchdowns this season. He's just our 57th-best running back for fantasy purposes, though that could obviously change as roles become more defined.
